Do you need dry blood?

The test kit contains some of the items you need to obtain a drop of your blood, which dries quickly on the absorbent paper provided. You place it in the envelope and send it to the lab. You will receive detailed instructions with your test kit.

For logistical reasons, we no longer include the lancets needed to collect the blood sample; you will therefore need to purchase a lancet separately at any pharmacy. These lancets are very inexpensive. We have had problems sending our test kits with lancets to certain recipients—the postal service and customs sometimes prevented delivery. By omitting the lancets, we can send the test kit as standard mail in a plain envelope, which significantly increases the likelihood of successful delivery.

Recipients in the U.S. will continue to receive the complete test kit, including lancets, as shipping there works without any issues.
